Discounts?

Just curious if with the RV industry backlog and high demand, what sort of pricing are they seeing in relation to MSRP when purchasing new?

When I bought my 2016 Classic in 2016, I did it for 21% below MSRP. What is realistic these days?

Hi

Simple answer:

If it's new on a dealer's lot, discount likely is zip.

If it's a factory order with a lead time that *could* turn out to be 10 months, 8 to 10% ... depending.

This is at the normal "peak time" in the RV sales cycle. Most who got significant discounts (back in the day) didn't do so on a factory fresh trailer at this time of year. Will things cool off come October / November? Who knows ....

Call around do some comparison shopping at the large Airstream dealers across the country. As of 3 months ago, some of them were still offering nice discounts--even though delivery lead times are stretching out to nearly a year. I got the same percentage discount on my 2021 Classic that I got on my 2019 Flying Cloud (purchased before the RV craze).
