Did I do all that to my trailer?

A fellow called me last week and wanted some opinions on a new flying cloud fb. As part of that talk he asked me what I had done to my 2007 safari fb se. I could not think of much, but now, I can. It's hard to believe but In the last 70,000 miles I have:
Changed all the curtains
Replaced all Formica with corian
Replaced all fixtures (exc shower head)
Changed batteries to 6 v sealed cells w 240 ah
Added two solar panels and controller
4 new tires
Airstream pleather seat covers
Two stage furnace
New variable pump
Led's throughout in and out
Hitch holder
Replace broken brake and one wheel
Water heater and furnace stainless steel covers
Replaced both fantastic fan covers
In/out switch on fantastic fans
Replaced water heater tank
Fluorescent lamps over sink and table
Blue undercarriage rope lights
In/out thermometers
Cell phone hotspot
Rope lights over front and back cabinets
Drawer latches for cabinets
Lifting handle for the bed
New front rock guards
Refer temp controlled fan
Amp for broadcasting music to outside speakers
iPod input to stereo inc charging
Screens for all outside vent covers
Replace 12 v outlets w marine grade outlets
Brushed silver garment hooks
Rear camera wired to dash mounted screen in truck
Contoured foldout steps (I broke off the originals)
Rear and left side zip dee awnings

Good grief, what have I done!

Most of these have been in previous posts, but I cannot believe I put all
this stuff on an already great trailer,

What's left? Well I just saw in airstream life a stainless outdoor shower cover!
How can I get the wife to approve of that one? Especially since we have never used it.

Don't tell her. What she doesn't know can't hurt.

Pleather was directly from airstream. I don't think that is the term they used.

I really like to maintain my rolling stock at a high level. And I also like to improve it on a continuing basis. I have spent the last 20 years fooling around with vintage Porsches and it got so bad that I even entered some national level concours events.

From the point of view of a newcomer to the Airstream world it appears that there are endless ways to make improvements to these trailers - and the Porsche restoring side of me is impressed and wants to get going ASAP. But one of the reasons I bought an Airstream was to let my old child of the 60's loose. That 60's guy isn't exactly irresponsible, but he likes to focus on the touring and camping aspect of Airstream ownership. To him the AS is just a means to an end, a way to get out into starry night open spaces.

Little bit of a conflict here! The two fight like cats and dogs. Be interesting to see how it turns out. Fortunately the two points of view aren't mutually exclusive (trying to teach my grandkids not to use dichotomous thinking - now that can be a problem!).

Off to reread Edward Abbey...

It's hard to know when to stop. There are days when I think I should peel the Airstream logo off and put my name up there. There's definitely more of me than Airstream in that beast.

Thumbs up

We didn't change anything....just up-grades to the second tier products used by the Factory.
Along with fixing the mistakes during assembly.

It's OK now...10yrs After.
