Delivery Time for a 25RB Serenity?

Hi Team,

Well it looks like we are changing our 25RB Twin FC order to a 25RB Twin Serenity, DW went in a Serenity and was swept away. When ordering a Serenity, what is the typical delivery time? I assume, since they build less Serenities than FCs, the Serenity will take longer than the 3 to 4 months we were told for an FC?

Thanks
Dan

Ours took about 6 months to get built and that is because we wanted every option in our 25RBQ configuration with dual airs. All AS's are Flying Clouds with upgrades.....so the "type" doesn't affect the built time.......if you see how planning and the factory work....it will make sense.......order the unit you want......and their ETA is pretty good......ours was off by about 2.5 weeks on delivery because of Xmas and snow delays......so projection delivery time was pretty accurate.

There are about 2500 in the build queue all bought and paid for..........so with the new factory being built, that may factor in......but they will be able to tell you when it will be finished.

Wow 2500, brought and paid for, in the build que. That is impressive!

We too are getting all the options (solar, 2nd AC, Convection Over).

Would like to get 16 inch wheels but not sure they offer them for the 25s.

Not sure I "think" we have 15's on ours..I'd have to look....but unless your going to be rough roading it.....are 16's really something "required"?

I don't recall seeing that as an option to do from them, but I'm sure folks on here will reply and give some advice if that is really what you want to do.

New Serenity!

Congrats on your new International Serenity 25 RBT. We just took delivery of our 2019 FC 25 RBT and love it. We sold our 2017 Int. Serenity 23D. We really liked the interior of the Serenity but the Internationals only come with a power awning now. We did not want a power awning so went with the FC. Great floorplan, loads of storage, and the BEST bathroom!

The 15" wheel/tire combo works very well. We have a pretty steep driveway with a sizable swale at entry and have no clearance issues at all pulling in or backing it out. We keep our AS at our residence with full hookups.

Your going to love your new AS. Happy travels!

If the trailer was already in the build queue you likely won’t lose your place. They don’t build them in batches. On the line an FC will be followed by a Serenity etc, etc.

Are you sure you want the automatic awning, which you will get on the Serenity? Some people love them, others have had some horrible problems. The trustworthy old manual awning is not a problem for the vast majority of owners and has been trouble free for eons. We love our Serenity interior, but I would not buy one with the power awning...just my voice.

Forgive me for chiming in here but there is a manual crank for the automatic awning. Is that sometime that is only for electrical emergencies or is there a way to bypass the power option all together? I must admit I am a bit nervous about the awning failing but when we had our walk-through there is a crank in the hall closet to crank out the awning. Congrats on your new baby! It really is like expecting. I had it completely decorated in my dreams two months before it came!

We ordered our 25 Serenity - with dual AC and solar added - the last day of the year 2018 and picked it up in Tampa mid March. Suppose it depends on their orders, but the dealer should be able to give you dates. Ours came exactly when they said it would.

Our wait time early last year (2018) for a 28 Serenity was about 14 weeks. We were given a build date and arrival date a week or two after ordering. Both dates were accurate to the day.

I was under the impression that they will upgrade wheels and tires on any trailer? This certainly wouldn’t be the first time I’m wrong...
From what I understand, the 15” tires are more prone to blowouts than the 16” LT tires that are used. You will see minimal differences in ride quality etc.

Again though, I may be misinformed here or informed on old information as I ordered my trailer in 2017. Their quote time for delivery was almost spot on to the day if I recall.

Exciting times! Congrats!

We ordered a 2019 Globetrotter in December and I contacted Airstream about the 16” wheel option (saw it in the GT owner’s manual). It turns out that was a mistake in the manual - the only Airstream sold with 16” wheels from the factory are Classics.

They do offer 16” wheels as a dealer installed option - you have to buy another set of 16” wheels and tires (get to keep your 15”s). I was told the new 15” Goodyear Endurance tires that are standard are made in American and much more reliable than the old Marathons. We’re going to keep ours for now. Your mileage may vary...
