Dealing with Addiction

I have come to realize that I have something we shall hereby refer to as digitaluminitis. From the Merriam-Webster Medical Dictionary:

Digitaluminitis : (n.) compulsive need for and use of a computer, internet, or other electronic means to research and learn as much as possible about Airstreams and other related travel trailers and lifestyle. Often characterized by persistent browsing of airforums.com and other Airstream blogs or associated websites. In extreme cases, this can result in excessive purchases and resulting poverty. While still in it's infancy, this disease of addiction has many documented cases, in which patients were found to be consistently checking the Subscribed Threads and Current Threads sections until new subject matter appeared. In some rare cases, patients were found to have as many as 12 tabs open with different threads to read simultaneously. Known side effects include fatigue, redness of eyes, poor work performance, and degradation of general health.
If you suspect you have this disease, please enroll in an addiction program immediately and consult your physician.

Anyone have any good methods for dealing with this disease?

Didn't you see the potential side effects??

I didn't say I wanted to get rid of my Airstreams, just get rid of digitaluminitis

Did I say cure?...I meant to say a period of detox. There really is no cure, just management of the disease. I guess "camping via your affliction" is akin to going to the Betty Ford Clinic for support and a temporary cleansing of the mind?

with apologies to Jeff F. - you might be an air-streamer if:

- your new TV had to be the same color as your AS
- you have more AS’s than cats
- you can pee and take a shower in a room the size of a refrigerator carton
- you know which combination of any 3 appliances you can use at the same time
- you have a pet name for a large inanimate silver wheeled vehicle

[ feel free to add to the list ]

you know who you are!
learn to roll with it

Airstreamers are like crows...they are attracted to shiny things to make their nests.

You go out to the side of your "home" to check your reflection in the morning.
You have more spare rivets lying around than nails, screws, and bolts combined.
You only buy the chrome editions of appliances so they can be used anywhere.

Tambour means more to you than Cher keeping time with Sonny's singing.
