Being 'raised' in Aviation, checklists are a part of my routine.
Start with a basic one, add what ever is necessary as you go along.
I have several; one is for loading for a trip, another is for setting up at my 'camp' spot, another is for checking everything before hitting the road.
I even have a note on the door to shut off the water at the tower, when we leave for the day.
(I also have another checklist, but I forget what it is. I'll have to check my checklist 'checklist' to find out what it is.)

Ummm, just a small thought here, has anyone else wondered why something so simple as inadvertently leaving a catch on a window unchecked could end in a possible highway tragedy as previously mentioned. When someone at Airstream Design Dept signed off on that and sent it off for manufacture and subsequently installed on these otherwise great well thought out trailers ummmm....
No good blaming us Pilots, we all have meat for brains after all and believe it or not can slip up from time to time. If it is down to this bad new design then "say something someone". My luvly 345 dosn't care if I forget to close a window while driving, except maybe the rear emergency exit window when lifted horizontaly can hit the deck and has done!

I have had the same experience as GammaDog. No damage either, but now I check in the mirror on turns when starting out just in case. I did have the experience of trying to help my wife, on the inside, open a window, with me on the outside. Just a tiny bit of differential pushing and pulling shattered the .100" thickness glass window. To my amazement when Andy at Inland RV shipped the new glass it was .125. I never noticed the difference. Timeless Trailers noticed it in Denver. I was impressed with their observation.

I'm glad to hear the story of Airstream handling your warranty issue on the road and not insisting you find a dealer to fix it. As full-timers with a 2016 Airstream, we had a less than satisfactory Airstream experience with a failed converter in Arizona with no suitable dealer nearby.

I wonder if Craig is new at Airstream? He recently arranged to authorize some warranty repairs for us in California -- again, not involving a dealer. We are very happy about that because it means we can get these fixes done with minimal interruption in our planned route.
