My wife and I were wondering who else had kids or family that have caught the A/S disease? Our kids have drawn them, spot them while traveling, built them from Lego and now are building models from K-Nex and covering them with aluminum foil! Even with working doors and jacks! They sit down and study the A/S books and have even asked to look at the manuals.

Our 4-year old is the A/S Ambassador, he has to tell everyone about A/S' and our A/S, even the fact that ours has a dent that Daddy HAS to fix. Perfectionist...

Anyone else got stories?

My kids are better at spotting them than I am. On our last trip they saw a 310 motorhome, caught the model number off the side as it flew by and made sure they told me about it, as I never saw it.
They also spot the trailers in storage lots, behind homes and barns. Makes a great addition to the highway spotters bingo game.
My older son cruises the campgrounds on his bike looking for Airstreams right after we pull in.

Jason,

When my daughter(16) first saw my A/S, she said, "Daddy it looks like a beer can!"

At first is was a little taken back by her dad wanting to live in a "trailer". But now she's so proud of it because some of her friends parents dream of owning an A/S.

It's amazing when the "friends" are into it, how she came right around

One of the guys I used to converse with on another board for old trailers got an old S.O.B and his teenage daughter asked him "we're going camping in an old horse trailer? GROSS!!!"
