Brake Work on Safari in Denver
We purchased a used 23ft, 2006 Safari last year and had some issues with the brakes getting hot coming down the Tetons.
Any recommendations on who can do brake work in the Denver area other than Windish and Camping World?
Thank you in advance.

Hot brakes on tow vehicle or trailer ?
And make model and year of tow vehicle would be interesting too. Do you know what brake controller is on tow vehicle?

Hi
Keep in mind that the amount of braking on the trailer is controlled by the setting of the brake controller in your vehicle. Set it to high and you *will* fry your trailer brakes ... I have empirical data on this.
Anyplace that does work on commercial trucks and trailers should be very able to deal with Dexter brakes. There is noting special about the way AS uses them. There also is nothing special about how they do indeed have issues from time to time ....

I've had good results with Transwest just up the road in Fredrick, just off I25 access road not too far north of E470.

Keep one thing definitely in mind-and no one so far has said this:
Whoever does the work needs to know the only places to use jack-the jack locations are marked spots found when looking under the AS, typically behind the rear -most wheels. Check it out on yours. Do not use jacks under the axels like cars, as the axles can be damaged. Do not jack anywhere on the belly pan.
Others will chime in- but be very careful. A couple months ago I took our trailer to Discount Tire for new tires and I told the supervisor about where to jack and not to jack on the axles. Well, then a couple techs came out with their floor jacks and I said "NO!" do not jack under the axles, use the designated locations and yes-that means you need those hard rubber jack extenders to raise the trailer higher so both wheels on one side are clear. If I wasn't there to watch over them, something bad could have happened.
