Black Tank Flush System

Can a black tank flush system be purchased later or must it be ordered at the time of purchase.

If it can be purchased later, how much will it cost. We are buying the '03 Bambi.

Has anyone added a sattelite radio system? Can the sattelite radio purchased for the car be removed and put into the trailer? Obviously, each would have to have a mounted system and antenna but at least not two radios.

The black tank flush must be ordered with the trailer as it is built into the tank. I have had two trailers without the flush and never had a problem, however my current trailer has the flush and it is much easier to clean the tank out and I would not buy a trailer without it.

I just asked my local A/S dealer this same question. The parts are about $50 and the labor to remove the aluminum belly and install the kit are estimated at 4 hours labor. Get someone who has worked on A/S trailers as the other shops seem clueless how to deal with the belly pan.

What you are saying is ...

you had better be pretty flush to install a flush.

I have never had problems without it installed, but I would order it on a new trailer.

The consensus seems to be that we better add the black tank flush system. I appreciate everyones remarks and, I will get the Bambi upgrades but I think that I will try to get the dealer down a bit on his price since individually priced the items are less than the package price that the dealer is asking.

Thanks Ed

The other thing I like is the heat pump. If it's above 30-40 degrees, and you aren't paying separately for electricity at the site, it saves you money on propane. Mine automatically turns off and fires the furnace up when it gets too cold outside for the heat pump... which also when you need the furnace to keep the tanks from freezing. It also switches back to the heat pump when it warms up outside.
