Dish or Direct? Only Dish has HD and month to month without turn on/off fees. Roof mount or portable? Buddy is a full timer 5th wheel with roof mount. Screwed if under trees or southern sky is blocked. Portable, can place up to 100' from TT/RV ... Where are you going to store? I use the bed of my TV. Most Dish antennas can only see the three western arc satellites, not a problem unless you are in the far north east US. I use the Winegate Pathfinder X2 which can receive the three eastern arc satellites in addition to the western arc satellites. Dish receivers are not expensive. Usually you can find a special with a Package X2 and receiver. BTW, the X2 is powered thru the coax cable, does not require a separate
