Berkshires in Western MA

Hi, we plan to camp in the Western MA region. I am having a terrible time coming up with a campground. I am happy with level, water and eletric. State Park fine, any ideas? We leave soon, leaf season. Thanks in advance.

Hi - do you have the Allstays app? There are 2 KOAs and a bunch of independents and state parks in Western MA the app can show you. I'd there's a particular town you'd like I'd be glad to look for it.

Someplace on or near Mohawk trail. It is for few days, them we go meet my siblings in Arlington. Vt. for few days. We r camping together for first time as adults, an Airstream, a Scotty and a Class A...should be fun.

I looked up state Parks, no hookups, I am concerned if we need to run heat. A couple had terrible reviews., maybe Historic Valley in North Adams. We r very open as to where to stay which is really the problem, last few years we were more definite of where we were going. I will check for koa, i do not think my app is set right for searching, will check that first.

Historic Valley is rather nice ( or was the last time I was there.) Depending on the mix of campers, it can be a bit noisy, but with school in session you'd likely be ok.

By the way, Greenwood in Arlington is pretty nice as well.

I've driven through the KOA in Westhampton and it looked like most other KOA's -- perhaps a little more wooded. The best thing about it is its proximity to Northampton, which is well worth a visit, IMHO.

I gotta vote for Historic Valley. We were just there again this past weekend. Great location close to one of my favorite Museums: Mass MoCA. Bring a long/xtra electric cord. Sometimes it can be a long stretch to get to the outlet.
