Bed Size

For the record -- in the '87 345 MH:

"Queen" island bed -- 60" Wide X 76" Long.

Couch Fold Out -- 44" Wide X 74" Long.

Dinette bed -- 36" Wide X 69" Long.

Compare these measurements to "standards" below:

Queen -- 60" X 80".

Queen sheets (both flat and fitted) work OK in the MH "Island Queen", just fold in the overage length at the bottom.

Full -- 54" X 75".

Full sized fitted sheets work pretty well on the couch fold out. The "fitted" pocket holds onto the corners on the aisle side, and the overage is tucked into the wall side of the bed. The couch bed really works best for sleeping only one person, unless a couple is fairly small of stature, doing something they really shouldn't be doing on the couch, or if they are a pair of Siamese twins. Thinking of carrying a camper type air mattress to put on top of the couch to enhance the sleep comfort. The "camper" full air mattress is shorter than standard, and should fit on the folded out couch.

Twin -- 38" X 75".

Twin sheets may or may not work on the dinette. A pair of flat full size sheets may be better, since the individual dinette cushions tend to move around more than a solid mattress.

I was wondering how the bed sizes in the Motor Home compare to the Trailer beds of various vintages.
