Pensacola is also my home town. I graduated from CHS in '69. We lived in Pleasant Grove, not far from Grand Lagoon (which also has a nice campground in the state park) and Gulf Beach. My Dad was an aircraft electrician at NAS Pensacola until he retired years ago. He sold our place after Mom died, and he lives with my brother in Biloxi now. I'd like to move back down there... IF I could have summers off to spend up on the Great Lakes.

I also grew up in Pensacola, the Brentwood area mostly. Was in the first class at Woodham High. We moved to Tallahassee after the school year 1966. My older sister just moved back to Florida after spending most of her adult life in and around the Seattle Washington area.

Lightbulb Interesting

seems like alot of people who own airstreams are from around the Pensacola area. Living in Tacoma Washington is not at all tough for me, before I got here, all I heard is that it only rains every other day! NOT TRUE! It only rains ONCE a year here. It starts in Sept, and lets up sometime around the middle of Jun. Pensacola is a neat little town, and I will definitely stop in there, if for no other reason than to visit the Family (and for a home cooked meal, Thanks MOM) But what surprises me, even though many folks who answered my "How many are retired military" I seldom see any Airstreams at the base campgrounds.

Thanks to all responders, I salute you.
