"The Village Barbershop"
I found out that recently Netflix has made the Instant Play option available to Mac users... probably since iPad's appearance on the scene?
Anyway... I was excited to be watching one of the first movies on my Macbook Pro and realized that one of the main characters... a girl barber, was living in a single axle 60's door in a door model AS... lots of scenes inside and out! ... and all thru the movie...
John Ratzenburger from 'Cheers' was the main character... the barber in a small town who hires the girl who lived in this Airstream.
Not a bad movie btw... an indie film!

PBS "Masterpiece Mystery!" Miss Marple
Last night was the first showing of the new Masterpiece Mystery with Miss Marple "The Mirror Crack'd from Side to Side." The fun usual Agatha Christy twists, but in one of the later scenes with the tempermental Hollywood actress on film location, all "stars" had their own Airstream as a dressing room. The Airstreams were crammed together in an inside stage setting with no interior shots or in depth views. Cool to see however.
Replay in St. Louis viewing area this Thursday May 27th and it can be watched online until June 6, 2010 at Masterpiece | Miss Marple: Series V | PBS
Cheers!

I counted three. One, a door in door Caravel, looked period correct. That is assuming time from the '57 T-Bird the Hollywood star was driving. The other two looked like 70's or so. One had a new white roof air.
They also had Zip Dee awnings, deployed indoors. The scene was on a sound stage and the trailers were inside.
All were nice looking trailers.

And for those who aren't fans of the show but would still like to see... the trailers appear roughly 32 minutes in.

There was what looked to be a '60s vintage AS that factored heavily in the plot on Friday's (6/10) episode of the Canadian series "Flashpoint" shown in the US on CBS.
Interior scene: http://www.cbs.com/primetime/flashpo...b0r0F_mPK1vQu6
There were also a bunch of exterior shots.

My kids were watching a recent episode (6/10) of the Nickelodeon show "Victorious" that featured an AS. Apparently the kids on the show got locked in the unit and spent a good portion of the episode trying to get out. That's one I wouldn't have minded watching with them!

On NCIS the other night Gibbs has flashbacks while in his comma and he was camping in a 70's era trailer with his first wife and daughter.
Of course we have all seen the Geico commercials right? Makes sense both companies are founded in Ohio!

Looking for a Movie
Hi! I'm looking for an old movie, maybe with Rock Hudson or Carey Grant, that features a Bambi in the movie. Does anyone know what this movie is?

Gee, I stumbled on this video earlier today, and it shows a '99 Safari 25'--for about 2.5 seconds. It's not bad, for a ten+ year old car commercial.

Thanks for posting.
The only Airstream I could find is on screen for what seems to be about 1/2 second at 1:52 in the video. Here is a screen grab that I saw. Is there more? I had to work to watch the whole time and stay focused...maybe I'm tired.

That would be the one. There are several versions of this commercial, some longer than the others (some up to 3.5 minutes long), that have slightly longer exposure for the Airstream. I wasn't going to sit through a dozen videos to find the longer one .

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the PanAmerica in Wall Street II: Money Never Sleeps. It's at the beginning of the scene where the characters played by Shia LaBeouf and Josh Brolin take their crotch rockets for a blast through the forest (it was used to shlep them to the site.)

And how he wound up in that comma for such a long period raises plenty of question marks, I'd say!

That was only part of it, making it a semicolon problem.

There is an Airstream in several episodes of "Justified". It is in the episodes when Raylon "visits" the "cathouse" trailer park.
