Our 1972 A/S is just great!! Sorry to hear about your 04. Maybe we can blame the workers of this era on quality control. Plus,Thor may have lost sight of the product and is only thinking $$$ signs. I don't know, but we still love our AS.

Airstream on the show "Wildfire"

My wife watched the show "Wildfire" on ABC Family, and the girl lives on a ranch in what appears to be a 70's Tradewind. In the pilot she was in an International but after going back to Juvie' she moved into the Tradewind(?). The show is on Monday's.

Close, but no cigar for the Airstream

If you ever have the opportunity for your unit to be photographed for a commercial, take it. An aside; several years ago we were contacted by an ad agency, representing an unheard of manufacturer of dental equipment, Heraeus Kulzer. Apparently a German engineer recognized vague similarity between their "translux power blue polymerization light" (?) and the transmission gear shift column of a 1959 mercedes-benz 190 sl. Our car was chosen for the shoot.

Bottom line: we were paid handsomely, the picture appeared only in obscure trade journals, and the photographic crew lusted not over the car, but our old excella. The model, a gorgeous young natural blonde girl, still appears on the company web-site (eating one of my apples), but alas, not in the car. She used the airstream for a dressing room and her pheremones have endured for years.

Since that time we have received a call from a dentist in San Antonio and an endodontist in Seattle asking if we would sell the car. Imagine if the excella had been pictured. Twice since 2001, the photographer (near Chicago) called about using the airstream, but both times we were in Arizona.

Doc Charles -- You are spare but brilliant in your posts. I would request that you post the photos mentioned to ASForums. Reduce it with a simple program, what-evah... I went to http://www.heraeus-kulzer-us.com/ and there is no curing light immediately apparent. Under "Dentist Products" I can find a topic of "Light Curing Units" but no joy...

Know what I mean?

AS goes Country

For those of you who are Country Music fans.....on DishNetwork station CMT "Top Twenty Countdown" they have several lead-ins before they start another round of music. In one lead-in, there's a silouette vintage AS with a vintage TV (I swear it looks like Van's....another forum member) that drives across the screen. There is nothing to identify that it's an AS......but the silouette is a dead give away. Has anyone else seen this?? Or am I the only Shania Twain and Sara Evans fan on the forums???
