Know where there is an Avion "wide body" just out of West Branch Iowa in the weeds. We still have our 68 Tradewind for sale. Husband just not into finishing the project. Sad!!!! Took it to New Brunswick, Canada in June. I had a blast...no so much fun for him. But at least it is not in the "Weeds." Still caring for it until a sale!

Pulled into a rest stop behind this 2005 last week. Pardon our work in progress. Hoping to remove the makeshift awning rail to put a real awning on after a season of workamping for Amazon!

OK, Lou, I gotta hear the explanation for that one. I know what workamping is, but what is workamping for Amazon?

Jim,

Amazon hires seasonal campers for the peak season, September - December to hit their labor requirements. Currently they do this at 3 of their fulfillment centers. In addition to pay, they cover the cost of a full hookup campsite for the duration of your employment. Amazon calls the program "Camperforce."

I am working until December 23rd at Campbellsville, Kentucky while my wife tends to the housekeeping on the Airstream. Not a bad way to augment the gasoline budget!

We were camping at Greys Homestead campground in Southport, ME this weekend along with two other airstreams. The safari seemed to be unoccupied the entire weekend.

Now that's pertty dern kool! Just the kind of innovative thinking one might expect from Amazon. Everybody wins--the company, their customers and the seasonal employees. Cool. Hope they're still doing it in about 7 years......I may have to sign up.

We saw FOUR Airstreams heading south on 95 in Fl today, Melbourne area or thereabout. They must be heading to a great weekend getaway. We're heading out of SoFla for cooler mountain air.

We are parked with 194 other Airstreams of all vintages (40s and later) and body styles at the Albuquerque Ballon Festival. This is our first Airstream gathering with our trailer.

Corps of Engineer's Park, Bull Shoals Lake, Lead Hill Arkansas (Diamond City), weekend of September 6-7

I came down early and got camping spaces for my wife and about 20 other bike riders.

I meet the nicest people on bikes and Airstreams!

After the several hundred balloons launched, the wind went still and becalmed many of the creatures in the sky. I large killer bee settled nearby and appears to be ready to attack our trailer....
