when I worked summers in the oil field a lot of guys used aluminum lunchboxes (I used a grocery bag) that, with a bit of tinkering, could turn into a mini-stream....just add wheels..

Just spotted: An Excella heading east on Hwy 270 between Sheridan and White Hall, Ark. (about 11:45 a.m.). It was raining lightly, and I flashed my lights and waved. Hopefully they didn't think I was telling them there was a cop ahead...

Today I spied a Moho (345) on the 210 Fwy near Tujunga, Ca.
I wonder if it was Str8stream?

Found this 1972 International (31') on a little island that comes with some waterfront property for sale on a small lake in Northern NY State. Must have moved it across the ice years ago to get it there.

Yesterday, at 5:15PM an AS was seen travelling west of FM 1093, about 25 miles west of Houston.
I was too busy driving our 1937 Packard to notice any numbers or what the tow vehicle was....

What a great way to spend a Sunday - out cruising in your Packard. I'm very envious. Had the chance to buy a 1940 Packard coupe in 1970 that was a good quality running car but at the time they wanted as much of it as I paid for a new SS Chevelle and the red with black stripes did me in.

Came across 2 in as many days in Ontario -
One was this past Saturday (Mar 29) on Hwy.401 between Ottawa and Toronto, they were heading East near Belleville.
The next day I saw the other parked in a field off Hwy. 400 near Barrie, looking a bit sad and neglected.

On Sat 4/5 as I pulled into my driveway off of Fm 1774 I saw a trailer going south in my rear view mirror. About a month ago I saw one going north on FM1774. I don't know if it was the same trailer as both times it was just a quick look.
TaaaDaaa!!! It looks like I have a new neighbor. About 1/2 mile north of me on FM1774 some people cleared a lot and put in a water well and electric. Today as I came in from town I saw a motorhome almost like mine. It looks to be probably a 28 or 30 ft. I will have to meet these neighbors with such good taste. I almost never see another AS and then to have another AS MH this close is WOW.

On the way home towing our Argosy, we saw another Argosy like ours in NC, in a driveway, in Arkansas and Missouri a Spartan, an Avion, three Airstreams and an Airstream motor home, none of which were on the road The moho was at a lot on I-44 west of Springfield.

Bat Cave is a neat little town, so is Chimney Rock. It was raining so we didn't take the hike up to Chimney Rock park, but we did explore the shops. We had been to NC four years ago, and Gatlinburg,Tenn, and love the Smokies.
Richard T has quite a collection of Airstreams at his place.
Oh yes, I almost forgot, there was an Airstream at the KOA where we stayed, but it was gone by the time we got back there with our trailer. Two more were in storage there, and there were two Airstreams in an RV park in Chimney Rock. We also saw one on somebody's property at Chimney Rock. Lots of Airstreams there!

We saw one Sunday at Hardee's in Kingston. It had Va tags and was gutted on the interior. Maybe a Sovereign or Overlander, couldnt tell from the side we were on. Looked like someone had put a door on the back of it. Never have the camera when I need it!

A campground called Creekside in Bat Cave is one of my favorite haunts. It's only an hour and a half away, and I like using it as a springtime shakedown run.

The May issue of Food & Wine came in the mail today- an article called "The New Airstream Cuisine" was in it! There is a picture of a guy selling gourmet burgers out of a '62 in Seattle, and one of some women in an Avion. The opening line for the article.... "Some of the most satisfying food in America can now be found curbside, served out of sleek Airstream trailers or trucks retrofitted with kitchens." Three passions- Food, Wine, Airstreams (not necessarily in that order).

I saw a profile on Skillet on the local news a few weeks ago, and spotted the actual trailer being hauled on I-5 this afternoon in Seattle. Haven't ventured there for a meal yet, though.

We didn't get there, it was raining when we got to Bat Cave and Chimney Rock so we didn't do a lot of exploring. Wish we had, it looks like lovely countryside.
