FYI, I recently took a tour of BayAreaAirstream, just to see how the other half lives. They have a Huge facility, and make a pretty penny out of storing trailers for owners. About 1.5 hours east of downtown SF.

Caught this outstanding 1986 Airstream 325 circling my campground at Sandy Beach County Park, Rio Vista, CA. Love to see these great ladies on the road.

Sighted a Bambi towed by a full size white truck exiting Hwy 120/Yosemite Blvd onto Hwy 99 southbound in Manteca, Ca. Sorry no pic.[emoji28]

Saw one southbound on Natchez Trace today behind a VW or ? similar sized SUV. They saw at least one headed north near TN state line. Exchanged headlight ACKs.

N Dakota plates, passed us in s!ow traffic NB from tuscon. Didn't see him til he waived with a thumbs up as passed in adjacent late. Hope he heard the toot.
At Rincon rv park tuscon more than a few scattered around inc one a few doors down with a tall weboost antenna.

We have seen 4 others here at Camp Gulf just outside of Destin, FL. A Tommy Bahama, couple smaller units and a triple axle.

I agree, sandlapper, I find it highly offensive that those in the south have such little regard for the feelings of those of us who are climatologically challenged. The photos of green grass is bad enough, but the palm trees - oh please! Have you no conscience?

Ok, in the interest of not further irritating the ‘climatically challenged’ I will refrain from posting pictures of the blooming flowers, sunny skies, and chirping birds outside my home office window, where the outdoor temperature is 70 degrees right now.

My sympathies, truly. I grew up in Chicago, and lived in Northern Alabama. I still understand the challenges of places where it snows.
The thing I miss about both places is the fireflies that show up in the late spring, and the daffodils that pop up to let you know winter is over. I don’t miss the ice storms, however.

Forgive us up here. It's the toughest time of year for us: spring is here but not here. There's still snow in the yard, but I want to go out and start in my gardens, build the new raised beds, trim bushes, sit on the back porch, prep the trailer for traveling this summer... you get the picture. My least favorite time of year!
Finally, 60's by end of week, if it lasts...

There was not a safe way to take pics on the highway, but yesterday I was headed south east from Bakersfield over the Tehachapi, and at various times exchanged blinking lights or waves with at least four other Airstreams (no WBCCI numbers) headed west on California Highway 58. Nice to see. The 2019 travel season has begun.
