Saw 5 different west bound trailers between Riverside and Phoenix. Saw a custom, Salon Centric Airstream with wrapped tow vehicle.
Very nice.

We saw more Airstreams on this year's road trip than the previous three years. Some flashed back, some waved, some flashed us first, some got past before we saw them. Saw a very nice three axle Avion or similar kin in a park at Eagle's Nest New Mexico. Saw a nice 16 Bambi in a Cortez CO campground. Saw an almost new 23 in a Kansas COE park. Yes, the shiny ASs and kin are out and about.  Pat

I wasn't there, but saw a comment on a blog that it was very muddy and poorly organized. The person who posted the comment said they ended up going home without seeing anything because the lineups for the parking shuttle overwhelmed the capacity of the shuttles.
Someone else commented that they attended but didn't go to some of the vendors because it was too hard to walk through the mud.

I went to Overland Expo East on Friday. I got there early, so I didn't have any problem with transportation in or out, but it was a mudfest.

I've seen the production records and believe this to most likely be a 1960 Airstream. Airstream made a dozen 40-footers in 1960 and just a single one more for 1962. After this all the long railroad trailers were badged as Mobile Industrial units and looked significantly different.

I saw this one a couple miles from Highland Hammock State Park, on the entrance road.
Hope you had an enjoyable stay! The weather was really nice this weekend.
