Airstream sightings

Perhaps the scarcity of viewing Airstreams on the road reflects how few have actually been built over the years as compared to the uncountable other brands that flood the dealers lots.

No. It's an ice chest, $500 sale price. I bought a Yeti last week. So spending ridiculous amounts of money on an ice chest was out of the picture!

On the other hand, we're at a campground with about 15 sites total (one of which is used by the camp host), and there's another Airstream here.

It seems to be random chance. Some days we'll see several in two hours on the road, other days, zero, despite being on the road for 6 hours.

Here are some pics I took last week when Rod at C&G Trailer Repair straightened an "out of align" axle for me. He has been in business for 45 years and tout's Matt Conkey and Tom Hanks as his customers. He must have between 30-40 old trailers on his property, some of which he owns others are customers waiting restoration. It's a walk back in time just to go to his shop in Bellflower, ca (in LA area).

I was driving southbound on I-89 just north of Burlington Vermont today around 1:45 pm and saw an Airstream 5th wheel going northbound. It didn't have a hump like "normal" 5th wheel, so on 1st view I looked just like a trailer until I was broadside of it. It was polished and in my 5 second view it looked beautiful. It had a wide blue stripe like an Excella.
Is it a 1 off or is there such a trailer?

Westbound on US 2 from St Ignace MI, at Brevort, was a 25' or so Classic at the local cafe. In St Ignace itself, saw an older AS just north of Ferry St, and another west of I 75 on Prospect St. A triple play, and no rally or caravan in town....

Drove all the way to St Ignace from Alumapalooza without seeing any other AS.
