With our self leveling air suspension on the truck, Curt 15049 receiver mount modification, 16" Michelin tires and 16" SenDel wheels and ProPride hitch, our Classic was about ¼" low in the front when empty. We have loaded our "gear" after the major solar and battery modification and the trailer suspension did not sag, so we are still in the same ¼" low front orientation.

I should have said it is a WBCCI Razorback Unit Rally and unfortunately no diamonds were found.

Airstream sightings

This was spotted moments ago by my folks in the southwestern US but they didn't say where exactly. But as of this posting, it sits as shown in the pic!

Update: they are in Reno watching their granddaughter at a volleyball tourney. The trailer is some company marketing athletic gear. My dad said that the trailer isn't actually polished -- the entire thing is a vinyl wrap.

I thought this was pretty cool. Dishwalla performing in an Airstream.......novel idea. Does it count as a sighting if I saw it on Youtube? Great song by the way.

Must have been everyone leaving the rally in Ga, but we saw more Airstreams on the road today than ever before. I counted seven between NC and Ga as we were heading south back to Tampa on I95. Typically I see one or two tops, so it was really neat to see all of them. Hope everyone had a great time and got home (or to their next stop) safely.

Taylormade, I was likely one of them! At one pointer had an impromptu caravan with 2 other trailers. We were returning from an amazing TCT rally with over 70 vintage trailers...maybe 15 airstreams? Rally was in tybee island ga. We're in nc. Took 95 to 26.

Thanks "av8or", that was great.

The acoustics in the Airstream were pretty good.

Wow, well maybe it wasn't the rally they were coming from because I saw two that were much newer 25-27FBs, a mid-late 80s Excella and a few smaller Bambi-19'ers. Perhaps you were in one of the vintage small ones I saw. I hope you weren't stuck in the awful traffic we passed.

Cheers!

Live in CA Central Valley. Coming home from a baseball game in SF and saw a newer AS crossing I-680 bridge over Carquinez Straight between Martinez and Benicia.

DW tried to take a picture but it turned out as a bright silver flash. Humm, that could be a great name. Cheers to whomever you're were.

We saw a total of 5 AS on the road over the past few days: 3 in Iowa, 1 in Kansas, and 1 in Colorado. Very very very windy conditions across Kansas and parts of Colorado until we reached the mountain area. Couldn't get pictures.

I passed this spiffy Safari Wednesday in Sacramento on I80 eastbound. It has that cool back door! One day I will be able to afford one this nice. Black TV looked pretty awesome too.

Saw an interstate pulling perhaps a 19 foot airstream in Birmingham on bypass from 459 to 65 south - did not get to snap a photo as I was on another route and headed to 65 north

Airstream Funeral Coach

We saw an Airstream funeral coach parked at the Terraport at the Airstream factory in Jackson Center, Ohio. Apparently in the 1980's or 1990's Airstream made about 50 of these vehicles using the classic motorhome body. Inside there are rows of seats for the funeral party. It looks very similar to a bus in the passenger compartment. In the rear there is space for more than one coffin. Look at the coffin loading doors in the sides at the rear as well as in the rear of the vehicle.

Heading back to the Central Valley in CA and saw a smaller (20 something) AS heading south on 205 near Tracy CA. Best wishes to whomever you are. No time to take a pic.
