I FINALLY spotted my first airstream today in MY town - Lake Placid, Fl. Airstream was heading South and I passed it almost in front of my office on Highway 27. Unfortunately I was with clients showing property so I wasn't able to stalk it - I didn't want my clients to see the drool running down! Took me a moment but that is so cute and true. When I caught the inoperable Aluminitus I fell hard. Was in Home Goods recently and was so easily distracted by all things silver and shiny. Lamps, mirrors, platters and a big silver coffee table. None came home but they sure caught my attention.

I left ours parked outside on the factory back lot yesterday as it still needs a few back ordered parts to be completed: television mounting bracket for the unit above the dinette, the street side lift up table by the sofa, the two upholstered covers for the storage areas either side of the hide-a-bed sofa, and the blinds behind the curtains. With the curb side awning installed, it appears all the external build is now complete.
Since the unit started on 20 December (last work day before the holiday break) and has continued since 2 January, with the exception of the Blizzard day on 6 January, ten work days have elapsed.

Okay, now this is strange...I discovered Airstream campers in July and of course fell in LOVE! Every where I go in our little town in central Florida, Lake Placid, I look for airstreams going up and down the road. I had the pleasure of seeing my first one in my town yesterday and then heading north on Highway 27 today I spotted what appeared to be a 30-32' Argosy heading South. Love seeing these beautiful things coming through my town! Keep 'em coming!! You brighten my day and would love to meet you on your way north!

We got a stainless and glass French press for Xmas (with a built in scoop for grounds!)
I've gotten shinny toilet bowl brush, soap dispensers, and salad utensils. Shiny shiny!! :-)

Came upon a nice 60s AS on the shoulder of NB I75 near Dade City this morning. Stopped to offer help..... just an important phone call!

Looks like there are Airstreams in the future. Saw an Airstream in the show Almost Human episode 7 Simon Says. Too bad they blow it up, but looked like an empty shell.

We spotted a newer 16' being towed by one of those RV delivery services Monday night just north of Atlanta southbound on I-75. Maybe headed to Florida to warmer weather? Ohio Plates on both vehicles.

I saw one around 10:20 a.m. yesterday, going west on US-50 in Maryland, heading toward the DC Beltway (I-95/I-495). Unfortunately I saw it at the last moment as I was going the other way, so I didn't get any details - it was perhaps a 23' or 25', and I'm pretty sure it had the bike rack on the back. It had numbers, but I couldn't read them in the mirror.

Not sure this counts...road trip in an Airstream on Bold and the Beautiful. Just flipping channels on a snow day here in VA. Cannot wait to get back out camping.
