As I headed south on my Honda GoldWing on I-77 from West Virginia and entered Virginia, there is a rest stop for southbound vehicles and probably a 25' Clasic was parked there behind a pickup.

Busy Day yesterday, July 1st. Met this nice Lady Piloted 2008 Safari as she pulled in to the rest area next to us at the East Bound rest area of I-26. She was headed home after a nice weekend in the mountains. Even though there are 50 years between them, you can still see the family resemblance.

We saw several vintage Airstreams that need some tlc on the side of the road between north Louisiana and south Missouri, but none being used until Branson.
We were in branson last week. 24' tradewind 1959 wbcci 7482. Did you spotbus?

In June we traveled to Texas, San Antonio and Galveston. While down there we saw on Craigslist a AS with a slide out. I posted the link on here.

Today, in Branson, MO, down by Lake Taneycomo, we saw another AS with a slide out. As I was taking a photo, a lady came out and we started talking. She was having a house raised and the contractor let her stay in his AS which, according to the lady, he just got in Texas.

I'm on my phone and can't post photos but I wonder if it is the same trailer? How many AS have slide outs?

We in Rockaway Beach cabined out

Hi from AZ. . . On Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives last night, saw an AS trailer being used as a kitchen in a Phoenix restaurant called "Duce". Very interesting looking deal, apparently you can have a workout, box, shop, and have lunch all in the same joint !?! I'll post a pic, cause you KNOW I'm gonna check it out ! regards, Craig

No! I'd have loved to have seen that one, though. We didn't pull in until Saturday afternoon and are staying in the back newer loop of Indian Point. The other guys left (forgot about the weekend turnover) before I got to chat, though. Bummer.

Wow I think if I were sending mine I would put it in a box not on top. Unless of course I was still in it. Then I would want to "sea" out.
Having watched several fishing shows on discovery Channel I would not want mine in that spot.

Question

I thought the same thing...what were they thinking, up front, on top of a container.

Was it coming or going?

Shot a picture of this old beauty today in Kansas, or was it Iowa, maybe Illinois? The owner said it's been sitting for a long time. He, or was it she, told me I could have first shot if they ever decide to sell. You'd think I would have more info on it, but am afraid someone with a heavy wallet might happen by, and she, or was it he just might forget who I was.

Hey hey, it's actually an '82 and we are headed west on a mission trip. Furthest point being Kings Beach, CA. That traffic was thick, but pretty cool that it was slow enough for us to talk!

We saw this 75th Anniversary slider, as we left the "Passport America" Rally in Lebanon, Tennessee. It was hidden amongst a bunch of big motor homes. We never did get to meet the the owners.

I wonder how they are protecting their AS from salt corrosion on the open sea?

Today, July 5, 2013 I saw 2 Airstreams in Knoxville, TN headed east on I-40. Then a little later I met another one east bound near the Harriman exit on I-40. It was a pretty good day for sighting Airstreams since each of the drivers probably spotted mine headed west bound on I-40.
