Thumbs up Airstream Shells

Hi.

How would one go about finding out the value of an Airstream shell?

I know there are people out there that want to buy these, it is just hard to find out what the market rate is.

Anyone have any past links to shells that have sold?

Thanks for any help!

You might try calling https://www.hofarc.com/ in Santa Barbara, they may even want to buy it.

There's a guy in Hamilton Ontario that sells shells for $10,000 and up. I think thats crazy; scrap value is what I'd put on a shell; just scrap value.

Cheers

That was my point; there's no definitive market value for a shell.
There are so many variables; rarity, condition of frame, how much has been gutted; up to and including, mental state of person interested in the shell [emoji15], or the seller[emoji857].

IMHO, anyone buying a shell versus a complete trailer, is just asking for trouble. There is so much you can learn taking one of these apart carefully, and you never know what parts you want to reuse if you don't have them.

Cheers
