This year ...
should be interesting since they just added personnel to open a new production line. The success of the new International line especially should bump the numbers upward.
There have been a half-dozen Internationals sold locally. On the way home last Saturday, I passed a mirror image of my International going the other way through Austin; the first time that I have seen another International AS on the road. Our WBCCI Unit now has 3 new Internationals out of about 50 rigs.
Our dealer is itching to get his hands on the new 16' and 28' CCDs; he has had a number of inquiries.

Looks to me like the numbers match the state of the economy at any given point over the past 3 years.
For example, in '00 the recession was started for those who weren't in denial (and there weren't a ton of people out of work yet). '01 was not pretty as it was finally announced, yes, we are actually in a recession (and job cuts flew faster than a intoxicated guy in a gentlemans club with a fist full of 50s), followed a pretty dismal '02. My guess is that '03's numbers might be in the same ballpark or maybe closer to '01s numbers depending on how the economy does. The reason I say the numbers might go up is that Thor is really wheeling and dealing on the interest rates. There are some really great rates right now and as someone mentioned adding of staff to open a new production line (but I know really nothing about that part other than what was posted).
As goes the economy, go the numbers.
Just my persepective.
Regards,
Eric

Eric,
I meant to state what you did about the economy, but I replied before my mind was fully awake !
03 isn't shaping up very well either. Terror alters, war, higher gas prices(one city in CA is over $3.20 per gallon) are really hurting economic growth for many areas of the economy.
We are truly living in historical times.

$3.20 a gallion?? Was that a mis-post?
What station brand?
In Chicago, we too have some of the highest prices on gas in the nation, prob only second to CA.
Here a gallon of the "good" stuff (93 Octane) goes for $1.93. $3.20 is extortion. Could that be Full Serve price??
I can't understand why $3.20 a gallon unless it's in the ritzy part of town. Around here the ritzy parts of town have gas prices at $2.01. Still much lower than $3.20.

Eric,
I heard this on the news this morning and you're probably correct that it's a full service station in an upscale area. You know how the news loves to throw fear into us. But it was $3.299 per gallon and to me it doesn't matter what the octane is because that's just plan nuts!!!
But it is interesting how the oil companys profits are up 60%.
I've found gas avging about $1.65 and I'm hoping to arrive at my summer camp before it hits $2.00 plus a gallon.

Better in Austin
I filled the truck yesterday at RaceTrack.
RaceTrack here has:
Unleaded @ $1.449
Mid-grade @ $1.549
Premium @ $1.599
I like RaceTrack because they don't add a full 20 cents for premium like most outlets do. My supercharged Buick calls for premium, although I can get by with mid-grade, especially on interstate trips.
Locally, either RaceTrack or one of the supermarkets that have their own stations have the best prices.
