We got it too!
Good job Rich! I especially enjoyed the article on the torpedo. Just wish it were longer. We read it all and now we have to wait how long for the next issue??....
The longer the wait... more pages please.

How many say, "Three cheers for Rich and his group?"
I do.
Job very well done, with several new fresh approaches.

OK, by the time mine gets here I'll feel as if I've read it already. Enough of the overviews until I get mine, OK?
Looks like folks from each coast have gotten theirs and our mail delivery has moved past the Pony Express. I hope it gets here soon.

So, Forum members, what can we suggest to Flyfshr to do to fill the time until this first issue arrives in his mailbox? I know just the thing--polish the Airstream! We all know how that eats up time! Left hand polishes, gets tired, right hand polishes, gets tired, take a break, check the mailbox, quaff a cool one, return to. . . Or, reorganize the flies in the tackle box? Or. . .? Come on, let's help him out!

Just got mine today in Tampa, so yours should be next. Looks good. Only browsed it so far. Trying to savor it.

Hey everyone, thank you SO MUCH for the nice comments. I tell ya, it makes all the work worthwhile!
We're still at International through this weekend and then it will be a few days before I get back to the office. Plus, we're deep into the Fall issue, so I am a little slower than usual at responding to emails and query letters, but I will get to everyone, I promise!
Sorry about the slow US mail to FL and CT. If anyone still hasn't got their copy by July 7, fill out the query form on our website and I'll take care of it.
To answer a few questions:
1) Yes, there will be plenty of content to keep the magazine going indefinitely. No worries -- One thing we have lots of is article suggestions. I must have picked up about 30 new ideas just this week at the rally!
2) The next issue is scheduled for late September. Don't panic if it arrives a couple of weeks late, though. The International Rally has really thrown a monkey wrench into the editorial production cycle!
3) Yes, once the magazine starts to be profitable, we will be adding pages to it. I hope to go to 80 pages within a year -- but no promises! It's really a matter of how well the Airstream community embraces the magazine.
4) Those of you who waited to subscribe until after June 15 will have to wait a bit longer for your issues. That was the cut-off for our first mailing. So TCL, you'll get your issue in about 2-3 weeks. But you WILL get the first issue, don't worry. (Again, if you subscribed earlier than June 15, your issue is already in the mail.)
Thanks again everyone. Please keep in mind we are always looking for good quality Airstream-related photos, especially unusual ones. PM either Wheel Interested or Dinoburb on this forum if you have pics. They are both Photo Editors for the magazine.

Sorry, nope, Ken!
'61 was the last model line Wally oversaw before going to the great trailer in the sky. Plus, he was in the US at that point, having recently finished his possibly insane cavalcade through Africa. So, conceivably, he may just have gazed on--or perhaps even entered--my trailer. As for Elvis being there too, I just don't know.
Of course, at the "06 International, Wally just might show up for his hundredth b'day. Probably in the middle of the night, after a few drinks when folks start burning up garden hoses and copper pipes (see the latest Blue Beret for this psychadelic trick, kids)!
Meanwhile, I am full of life, but still have no Airstream Life (I subscribed last winter)! All this talk of how great it is has me quite envious.

Rats, you had mentioned that next week - Sunday - was Wally's 98 birthday and that you wanted to go to the international for his 100th - gave me the impression he was going to be there.

I received my first issues yesterday! This magazine surpasses any expectation I had. The message about "Vintage Thunder" has me interested see how the restoration of the 1977 Argosy progresses. The "Airstream Restorers" is well done and what about the bath tub in "Fly Rig"! I am in the middle of "Montana's Crow Country" and can't wait to find out how to: "Party with a Theme".
This is a great addition to my coffee table!

Well John Baker just "outed" me. The caption on page 26 says the 1961 Globetrotter in the picture is also pictured on page 22 and 27. Actually, it's on pages 22 and 28. In other words, the Fly Rig *doesn't* have the fancy bathtub, it's the 1961 Globetrotter that does. Oooops. Sorry-- there's always a couple of those things in every issue!
