I was thinking..
I would have tons of pictures and after the factory tour and i was planning on stopping by here and showing them.
Unfortunately they do NOT allow cameras any more. Something happened three months ago. I'm not sure what happened, but someone did something or took a picture of something and now no cameras are allowed.
Oh well.
The factory tours run daily (in Jackson Center, Ohio) at 2pm.
The tour lasts about 2 hours and you walk right alongside the trailers and the people working on them. It was really cool!
It wasn't a "Stand here and look way over there at that guy and don't cross this yellow line" tour.
At times we went inside unfinished trailers and motorhomes.
We were able to talk to the the employees and they answered questions.
One nice thing was that every trailer coming off the line was different.
Different floor plans, different styles. Different designs.
You think factory and you think x amount of units rolling out a door. All looking the same. In a line, with no personality.
Its just not like that.
It is more like a hand-made custom-built trailer shop!
If you ever get a chance, check it out!
I did make a video of the vintage trailers out in the parking lot.
Here is a link to my blog where i posted them.
