This was one of my favorite send offs. What a way to spend the holidays, in the air and the sea.

Bill; I been on one of those things! There's a guy out here that instructs in them things. We call him "Swingset", if you fly one of those things you'll know why.lol. Look like Airstream collectors!
Rick; You lucky dogs. I can only imagine a cat launch.ho ho ho.
I met a young USMC Capt in the Key West BX last week, a F-18 throttle jockey with a broken plane. Had to land there and "bribe" the squids to fix his fighter. Some things never change!

If I was there and saw him coming in I would have lasered him hard so that every threat light and buzzer went off! With all those distractions maybe he would try to land elsewhere!

So, did any of you go to Oshkosh this year?? I attended and had a great time. I drove all through the campground looking for Airstreams and GMC Motorhomes. There were quite a few TT Airstreams and at least 3 Airstream Motorhomes. They varied in size from a 28 footer to a 34 foot. However, the campground is so large I could have easily missed quite a few. Just for grins I looked for GMC Motorhomes because they are so unique. I found 12 of them. Some were really well cared for and looked better than some of the new stuff, but some had me wondering how they managed to get there and would they make it home. Oshkosh was great. I got to meet Harrison Ford and I leaned on John Travolta's aluminum RV (Boeing 707). I discovered I am too old to take in all of Oshkosh. Thank God for the Trams. Last year I flew my Cessna 175 to AirVenture, but this year we took the GMC Suburban and camped. I prefer flying in but having transportation has its advantages, too.

Yes! I attended Oashkosh 7/26-7/29 (had to leave early to put my Exchange Student on a plane back home). We brought our Airstream, and saw quite a few others there. I have flown in the past, and was tempted to fly this time (I own a Beech Debonair), but staying in the trailer is much nicer than camping under the wing.

Me, too!

I was there, too! Sunday through Thursday. My trailer was parked in the back fourty (Seventh and Lindberg) right next to a GMC motorhome. Mine looked a little rough as I am in the process of polishing it and had the Nuvite folks out to give me a few pointers. Past years I have flown in, but just for the day. I was good to be able to have more time. It was good, too, to see so many Airstreams. My friends are already talking about next year!

Hey guys,

I was there too... Tuesday thru Friday. This year I brought the Bambi and had a wonderful time. As some of you know I work for Cirrus Design so I was "kind-of on duty" for some of the time there. It was a wonderful show and the best OSH weather we've had in years. What a great place to enjoy with a family. Exceptional folks.

This was my first experience with my camper at the show. Wow... That's the way to go to AirVenture. Had a 100 yard walk to the shuttle to get to the main gate, and the return was as easy. No traffic, lots of nice folks around the camp sites. Just had a wonderful time. I would highly recommend this as a destination to any one (pilot or not) that enjoys aviation at any level. The flying shows are just remarkable. Lots to see and enjoy.

Love to see any of you guys next year! Just stop by and get some ice-cold water at the booth... We can talk either aluminum trailers or glass aircraft!!! Love 'em both!
