A/C turns on while in Furnace mode

When selecting the furnace mode on our 2016 Classic, the A/C (front) starts running as well. This just started yesterday (cool temps in Denver!)
Anyone else with this issue and how it was solved? We’re on a long trip currently from our base in California. Thanks!

Set the FAN mode to AUTO and you should get furnace only.

Try the mfg. hard reboot in the AC manual.

Are you sure it is the AC that comes on, and not the heat pump (which sounds the same-the roar from the roof). Recently, I discovered for not sure how long, that my furnace wasn't working. If I wanted heat, I just set the thermostat on Auto and increased the heat setting. Within seconds, the 'roar' from above. I just assumed all was well, and that was it.

Long story but the heat pump was the default the thermostat Auto selected because the furnace was not working. When I tried the Furnace setting (not Auto), I could hear the propane fire up for a few seconds, then shut off. I tried a few times and nothing. It turned out that the circuit board was bad and a dealer replaced. Some times the sail switch can be at fault.

Just thought I would throw this in as another possibility. Good luck.
