hi willyd'
85mh325 (roger) had one before he went over to the dark side (bigfoot) last year...
pm him for details.
he's posted occasional pics (his old avatar) and notes about it,
here is his first thread on these units...
http://www.airforums.com/forums/f48/...lers-4871.html
and here is his photos that show the interior...
http://www.airforums.com/photos/brow...c=3079&userid=
there are other threads on the 2 axle double doors,
but not a lot on the triples....
floor plan was not much different than the traditional 34 layout.
cheers

Love the 2door 34's. I would have bought Rogers trailer if I'd know it was for sale. They had one on the production line the very first time I toured the factory. You don't see them to often and it's an option that they should offer again.

Willyd,
What do you want to know? We have an '87 Excella 1000 34' double door and love it.
This picture was taken before Savannah was striped, polished, clearcoated, and had mid-riff decals updated.
I have the original 1987 marketing brochure and a brochure with all the floor plans and specifications for 187 in PDFs. I will post the links to them when I get home tonight.
You can also see pictures of her all gussied up in this thread...

Great! We're slowly starting a refurb on our '87 34' two door. The floor plan will save me some scribbling with the standard 34' plan I managed to find.

hey cool! i didn't know u had a 34 dd, neat!
i've been toying with the idea of having a 2nd door added to my unit, taking it back to the factory for this work...
really what i want is the 2nd door split/dutch style, 4 hinges and a split screen to match...
how wacky is that?
cheers

I think the 2nd door is is very handy, especially when you're in and out of the trailer "doin' stuff." It also is nice to have that additional screen door for intake when you're using the fans. However, I have to think the additional doorway compromises the integral strength of the frame to some extent. Maybe not. Just a logical surmise.

There are times I wish my 34 had the second door. Would be hard to accomplish on mine though with the underbed storage compartment.

I really enjoyed my two door. The door just replaced the window that is commonly located in the same spot. I don't think there was any loss of structural integrity in the two door models. I enjoyed the open feeling it gave the bedroom. The 34' bedroom is a little *close* to suit my taste. One of the things that appealed to me in my Bigfoot was the open, airy feel that the three huge windows have in the bedroom.

Bill,
Good luck and let us know how you make out. We lucked out with ours becuase it seems to have been water tight with no leaks or soft spots on the floors from leaks. There was however one small soft spot in the road side rear storage compartment underneath the city water supply line. I figure it was from condensation puddling under the water line. I have since used wood hardener in the entire compartment, just to be safe, and put some of that gray closed cell foam pipe insulation from Home Depot around the plumbling lines. That seems to have eliminated the comdensation.
We love the floor layout and the extra door as we camp with our daughter, son-in-law, and our 11 month old grandson. it is nice to be able to get right into the bed room without disturbing the little one. The only draw back is it gets a little interesting getting in and out of bed, as I have the side against the rear wall of the trailer and there ain't much room to navigate.
