2022 Audi q8 with food trailer
Hey guys had a question. I知 very new to all of this. I looked up a Audi q8 it said it痴 towing capacity was 7700 lbs. I figured we would be good to go. Now the more I知 reading on here I知 having some questions. The trailer we are buying is 10x8 and around 2500 lbs. it has electronic
Brakes. With food it could maybe be an additional 500 lbs max. Is there any tips or hints I should know about this. If this is a good or bad idea lol thanks in advance.

Nothing to do with air streams but stumbled upon this forum and seemed to have a lot of knowledgeable people in it. We are new to towing so figured this would be a good place to start.
Thank
We tow our Airstream Caravel 22FB, which weighs about 4400', with our Audi Q7. The Q7 has essentially the same towing specs as the Q8.
You will not have any problems towing. Especially considering you will not be driving up any huge mountains (we love Milton and the Berkshires : ) but it's not like you will be towing through the Rockies or the Cascades), in high winds or alongside giant semis, which are the main factors causing stability issues in towing.
If you want, you can have a brake controller installed, which will automatically activate the trailer's brakes whenever you use the Q7 brakes. We use the Prodigy P2, which I believe is recommended by Audi, and it works really well. You also probably need a 7 pin controller installed on the Audi, or very easy to install yourself.
