2012 19' Bambi frame

I am seriously considering a new Bambi Flying cloud, and looking at some on the internet sites, I noticed that the new one have only one step at the entry way like the sport models have. The older ones have two steps. They seem to have very little ground clearance. The low clearance was the reason we decide not to buy a sport a few years ago. Anyone know of a change or how I can get more info? Please redirect me if I'm on the wrong forum.

All Bambi's have only one step. Not sure about the differences in ground clearance but Airstream do sit lower than most SOBs, that's one of the selling points. The hight on all Flying clouds 19'-23' are 9.5 and 25' + are 9.7 while the Sports are 9.3". So the Sports are shorter. Check out http://www.airstream.com/travel-trai...pecifications/

Converting or ordering 16" wheels will give you a little more clearance. I have found the clearance to be fine. It is not going to be like some of the other brands that have the springs turned around, be I have found the Bambi to be perfectly adequate.

After reading about rotting floors and leaks in 2012 units, I think I'll pass on a new AS. Thanks for the replies.
