What is a complete vent worth?
I am trying to sell a vent from my FC. It is complete and in good shape. The pictures give the impression it has dents, it does not.
What is it worth? Other than what someone will pay?

While some here on Airforums sell their spare parts, many of us that are restoring an older AS often trade parts to others that can put the item(s) to good use for a modest (almost free!) price to cover shipping, etc...It's a good karma thing...
I look at Airforums as a select group of AS owners that often post & visit here to exchange ideas, get answers to problems we run across, and plan trips/rallys with old & new found friends...
You, of course are entitled to ask any price for your vintage parts...In the non-commercial arena, I tend to look at these exchanges as friends helping friends...
Good luck on your project...

Unless someone is desperate for an original part it probably is not worth much.
I am assuming it is the old Hehr vent. They are often removed to install a fantastic vent or simiiar. I keep the ones i have removed for parts.
The vents from the newer trailers can frequently be found in the trash at rallies after some one gets a new Fantastic Vent installed

I have given much of what I had away. Stove, sink, cabinets and other things, or have sold things highly discounted. I think those who have benfited from this would feel I have shown good AS spirit.
This vent is where the the new AC, $1100, went. I would like to offset some of that cost. If there is no real value, then I will pursue other avenues.
Thanks for your um, advice?

Don't think you're really going to offset much of the new AC price. A new replacement vent is $49.99 at VTS. Assuming you get that, it is still only 4.5% of your new AC cost.
You could always put it in the Classifieds here. Half price, best offer, or whatever.
It looks like care was taken in the removal, so someone should be glad to have it.

That is the ppurpose of this post. To learn.
The VTS vent is close, but not the same, steel vs alum, cranks diff, etc. Depends on what you want.
I have this in the classifieds.
I already have one as a spare from where there FF went. Now I have a second. I am not against helping anyone. Just ask.

I realized that, but didn't want to over-complicate things.
