Paul.
The original steel bumpers have not been available for 25 years or more.

A person can be creative using 4 or 5 inch steel channel and rounding the ends.

Options

1. Have you called all salvage yards?

2. Do you still have the originals? How bad are they? Can patches be welded in?

3. What are your cost constaints?

4. Would you accept fiberglas or molded plastic overlay on a flat steel core?

Post old bumper....

thanks for the replys...
i kinda figured none were available.
but i thought maybe there might be a close second in appearance that was stock for another vehicle/trailer that might interchange !

the one on the 62 tradewind is way past repair.
the one on the 57 overlander is missing.
i do have a very good one on the 60 safari (previous owners took good care of it) .
probably best bet is used (salvage) or makeing one out of some heavy 'U' channel.
if you were looking to find a reasonably priced salvage bumper in the south - east (like maybe florida) where would you go ??

thanks
paul
