Hello,

Curious as to what other storage compartments look like.

Are all your ‘Walter of Wabash’ slides in good working order? They do sell them or you can make your own. Good luck

W of W?

Hey Bubba,

I don't know what the "Walter of Wabash" refers to.

Can you help me out? Thanks!

WofW slides were originally designed as a table slide. They still are but are also good for other tasks. AS also used them for bed slides like the side bed in the 66. Vintage Trailer Supply sells them as ‘slides’. You can make them on a table saw if you have one. Just dovetail 3/4” boards with a shaped dowel attaching two slides. I made some for the 55 to support the dining table while in the bed configuration. If you need pictures or to discuss dimensioning, PM me you contact info with questions and I will respond. Good luck

It used to be like yours, except I had a hinged top cover.

I modified mine a little, lol. I built a new top cover and I built a new bottom pan increasing the volume inside by dropping the bottom an inch or so. I also added hot and cold faucet with coiled hose sprayer for out door shower, dog wash or just rinsing stuff off.

Batman, you removed your rear access panel? I have to replace the rear-most floor panel, and am thinking of doing away with the access, too, to reduce water intrusion. Did you do something to protect the plywood floor where the frame is exposed at the bumper storage lid?
