63 tradwind bumper mounted sewerhose compartment and floor question

replacing the rear floor on my tradewind and noticed after having it in that I can see the edge of it from the outside above the bumper mounted sewer hose compartment. What a lousy idea that was! Im trying to figure out a way to seal this so it doesnt get wet again. Anyone deal with something like this???? Ive treated the wood floor last week and after last nights rain decided to pull the floor out to see if it was wet. Sure was, right where the compartment is on the bumper. Im thinking of just taking it off and putting the hoses somewhere else. It looks as though the water pools there. Any tips would help.
Thanks
