Replacing Belly Pan, but not with Aluminum ???

Hello Friends, I would like to replace our belly pan. They're not in great shape. I would like to have future access for any service or modifications. Has anyone replaced the aluminum with something like corrugated plastic sheet? Maybe more smaller pieces and, used screws rather that rivets? If so,
What material was used? Where did you get it?
Thanks for your feedback, Bill

That is my plan, using smaller stiffer aluminum plates that will be screwed in. However, I have not reach that step in my rebuild yet

There are a number of thin light weight materials that will work, some of which can be purchased at your local hardware store. Most of these products will be in 4x8 sheets. I would also check in with a local metal fabrication company for additional options and installation ideas.

So I purchased ten 4 x 8 sheets of black 1/4" corrugated plastic sheets from Polymershapes in Naperville, IL. I have a while before I install them because other work that I want to accomplish before I get to that step. I will update things when I have something to show.
