We bought a tire carrier to install on the front of our 1969 Overlander. Installation was going fine until discovering that the piece that holds the carrier to the front had an angle that didn't match up. Has anyone had this problem before?
We've contacted Airstream and the seller with no help. Has anyone put one of these on their Airstream?
The newer spare tire carriers' handle and front mount are angled so you can get at the handle more easily. Because of this, you may have to make some mods to get it to fit.
You ARE talking about the spare tire holder that goes under the tongue that you get from Airstream, right? If not, nobody will be able to help you without at least photos.

I reread your comment and want to clarify. This carrier was sold to us as being made by Airstream and was also told that it was the only one made by them.
