Fix hole in Belly Wrap on Front Segment

I have been looking all over on the forums for this issue and a possible repair...sorry but can't seem to find one.

I have an approximate 2 inch hole in this lower black plastic section of the segment. See the black electrical tape area temporarily covering it. I am thinking some JB WELD with a fine metal mesh as backer should do the trick.

Can't seem to find what this belly wrap plastic material is, or if anyone has done a similar repair with JB WELD, BONDO, or the like? Appreciate it, and I will happily share pictures of before and after.

Since that belly wrap is black plastic that is UV resistant, I may go to a good auto supply and see if they have kits for vehicle plastic bumper repair. Probably about the same stuff. Plan B: find some UV resistant plastic, make a pattern, install a backer piece adhered to the inside of the wrap and adhere your pattern piece to that. I would use 3M black gasket adhesive for all glued pieces. I really don’t know much about Airstreams built after 1966. Good luck
