Cracked Tail Light Bucket Repair

I have a 65 Globetrotter. The tail lights are mounted on a plastic bucket, not directly to the aluminum. These plastic tail light buckets are cracked from age. A previous owner made repairs with a mesh and silicone (I think). I am considering rhino lining the entire bucket to give it a new look. Has anyone tried this? Are there other fixes that work well?

The tail light 'bezels" used on those early models, can easily be repaired with fiberglass.

Create you rown different shape if you wish.

Have fun.

Tail Light bezels

Thanks Andy,

Are you suggesting that I repair existing bezels or remake them with fiberglass?

Also, a different issue, my doorknob sticks. I sometimes have to use a knife to pop the male part out of the door. Is the doorknob that you have at inland RV the correct replacement for a 65 Globetrotter? It is part #22224. The knob on my trailer is 3 3/4 inches from the edge of the door.

Thanks

Scott

Repairing them is a lot easier than making new bezels.

That lock is for 66 to 69 trailers.

Since your Airstream has a cast frame, like the later models, you can use that lock but you must slightly modify the door. Not a biggie, but then you have a lock that is currently available, as opposed to the many years ago obsolete lock that you now have.
