Belly pan blues!!!!!

What's the secret to a nice belly pan install? To start with my 57 Flying Cloud belly pan was long gone before I got it so I'm trying to recreate without any type of pattern.
Talk about frustration!
I did get the front corners pretty good but the rear corners are more difficult with rear bumper in the way.
Any tips, ideas and or comments welcome please.
Anyone have patterns I could borrow?
Thanks

So I took some untimely away from project and came back with a fresh attitude.
I somehow figured out that I needed a little weight on the end of my rear corner belly pan.

I placed a small piece of a 4x4 on the belly pan end. It was like magic, the belly pan fell into place and showed me where to trim etc.
I'm in the figure it out the hard way mode and today's lesson is the 1/4 bolts I added to the c channel perimeter have to be installed upside from how I installed. This picture shows belly pan messed up from the bolts.

Next picture shows curbside corner before belly pan install with bolts in the correct direction to prevent any issues like I had with this side"

Oh well at least I have a usable pattern for attempt number 3 on this piece.
Practice makes perfect hopefully.

Tank cover?

More time off from the frustrating belly pan, decided to attempt an aluminum cover for my grey tank that extends out of belly pan.

Yeah, looks pretty good to me. I'll be in your boat soon enough, so I'm trying to find out all I can.
Keep up the good work and the pictures help a bunch.

I'm not sure how much it would help but in the thread "Super Sized Sixty Sovereign" starting at post #56 I wrote a brief how to for belly pan corners.

Looking Good! Was wondering what size grey tank you installed and manufacturer? We have just started our restoration of our 1948 Liner and we are going to be installing holding tanks into a new frame.

That looks great. My first few attempts didn’t go so well. I had to do mine from underneath since I didn’t flip the chassis. I did have a roll of aluminum jacketing for chill water lines. I used that as a pattern for the corner cuts. We used a lot of C-clamps on the C-channel, trimmed the access then riveted. I think that was the most frustrating thing so far. Good luck. Bubba
