So I don't think this is critical but I just wanted some other opinions. This is what the bottom of my AS looks like. I think someone injected foam insulation and over the years it has seeped out. Best bet would to remove the bottom, remove the insulation, put new insulation in, and then reattach the underside and fix where needed?

Spray foam insulation does not seep out. That is over expansion. Spray foam never the frame is not a good idea. Water has a tendency to stay around and and can cause major rot. I'd drop the pan and remove the foam.

I've seen a couple of cases where foam had been sprayed into an area. While the foam is a mess, what it hid was a worse mess!

So pulled off 8 feet of aluminum and got rid of the spray foam and forrest of mouse and squirrel housing. Before I put the new aluminum on the belly, should there be insulation between the floor and belly pan? If so, what type/rating?

Airstream uses 4" fiberglass insulation. It tends to hold water and keep mice happy. I've used foam board which doesn't hold water and mice like it less.

I am planning on using fiberglass insulation on my current project as it is easier to work with, and I now live in an arid climate, so I expect less wet days outdoors.

I used rockwool throughout my build, including in the belly pan. Very happy with the results.
