Simple solution
I purchased a 28” water curb key shut off rod for step stabilization. Works well. Cheap $10 fix at Lowe’s
Just put handle against frame and u shut off on back side of lower step.

Great Support
I received my "step stick" from GMFL on Monday. I had a chance to try it out today. The stair support fits perfectly, is professionally finished and significantly strengthened the feel of the stairs. And, it eliminated the bounce!! Thanks, Ronnie!

I purchased 5 StepSticks and they arrived today. I plan to give them to friends and offer them as door prizes or gift exchanges at rallies. These things are beefy and well made. GMFL must be a certfied pipe fitter - the welds look great! Haven't had a chance to try them on a trailer (we store our trailer off-site) but GMFL assures me the ones I ordered work properly on aluminum steps.
Don't forget, GMFL can make a StepStick for your steel steps too.

I have one as well and it fits perfectly on our aluminum steps. You will be pleased with the fit and finish. I am 6' 215 lbs and it definitely provides peace of mind when entering and exiting our trailer. It installs in one second and stores anywhere. It is well made, light weight and I wouldn't hesitate to use it for a pry bar in a pinch. Great product!

I hope others will see this thread and contact you for a StepStick. Just today, I painted the items I purchased from GMFL. Hung them out in the sun and painted them with metallic silver and they look great! Still haven't been to the trailer storage yard to try them out but I'm sure they'll work. Looking forward to giving one as a door prize at an urban rally in March.
GMFL, be sure to give one to the Long Long Honeymoon YouTube folks. They could talk it up in one of their videos.

I received the StepStick from GMFL last week and had a chance to try it out today. The amount of flex that is reduced is amazing - and easy to put in place. Best $20 I've spent on the AS....
