Good afternoon Kevin-

Maybe if you could let us know what year and which AS you have someone here will be able to help you out.

this may not be what you want to hear..

The steps on my Safari work just as they are supposed to but are such a pain in the rear to fold and unfold I never use them. Plus, if I leave them down when it's parked it provides great access for mice into the belly pan. A $4 plastic step from Target works great and I can use it inside to reach to the back of the cabinets.

Just picked up the 2007 model of the RV accessories catalog from the local "other brand" dealer. 792 pages of parts, toys, etc. Contains 5 pages of steps...replacements and others. You may try the largest dealer close by and see if they have a catalog.
