Step replacement for 76 Overlander
Looks like the previous owner of our trailer must have had an accident at some point and put a different set of steps in. Funny thing is the “new” steps don’t even fit between the outriggers without bending them. I’m attaching photos of the replacement steps and the current outrigger config.
My current outriggers are spaced a little under 22” apart. I see the 20” wide “durable double step” at out of doors mart, which seems like the best option I’ve found online. I don’t really want to spend over $500 for an oem set, and the wife doesn’t want to carry around a step box / platform that’s not actually attached to the trailer.
Given this, would you guys go with the 20” option at out of doors mart? Would you have them welded since the frame is completely exposed? Any other options out there that you guys can recommend?
