Does anyone know here if the Pendleton model aluminum steps fit or bolt up to any Flying cloud?

The Pendleton model is just a variant on the Classic - which used to be called an Excella in the 80's. If you go up a few posts an Excella owner traded his floppy aluminum steps for the steel ones and those had to be shimmed because the aluminum ones were wider.

Whether you could shim them the other way? You could call the factory and ask. Or perhaps if you go to a rally or Airstream park you could get permission to crawl under someone's classic and see how the steps are attached.

I've never thought of it before - but I am pretty certain the doors are the same width between a classic and any of the lower trim models. I have a "Home Sweet Home" grill on my screen door - and have seen the same thing on a friend's Classic. So the raw opening should be the same.

BTW those aluminum folders look cool, but they are "costalotta" items AND they have issues. They sag - and there's one very expensive (like $100) screw that is custom made, possibly with reversed threads that tends to work itself loose and fall out. Several people have made special braces to hold them steadier. And many classic owners, especially if they have balance issues either convert to the steel steps or use a freestanding stool just so they can keep on 'streaming. I am currently camped next to a man who has to use a walker and he and his wife just got an aluminum ramp for their moho to make life easier for him.

The steel rod on our step snapped. Ordered 24 inch replacement steps from Campers World but the new step is 241/2. We have a 2015 FC 28
any suggestions

I purchased Lippert Components for my 2006 keystone challenger.Took about 45 minutes to complete the installation. Had to make a slight modification to the bottom plate on my screen door as it just barely rubbed. These steps are absolutely amazing. Very sturdy, just like house steps.

To make t it more stable, i bolted the step on the side.
Now they are rock solid.

waninae39, do you have any pics of your install? I am considering adding a double step to shorten the distance to the ground and save the knees.
