Single to Double step change out

I recently add a lift kit and changed out my 15" to 16" tires on my 2016 22ft Bambi. I now have a substantial distance from the step to the ground. This was done because we are off the grid when we camp and we did this to prevent scrapping the belly tanks. I would like to switch to a 2 step assembly. Has anyone done this and how much effort is required? i.e. are modifications need to the frame to accommodate this change.
