Nolox Step Brace

Hello Everyone,
Nolox Step Brace question.
I am having difficulty finding this step brace for our 2023 23' FC.
Has anyone tried to make something like it? DIY ideas to make the folding steps
more stable?
There are great ideas on this forum - keep them coming.
Thanks

I've not tried it myself, but I've seen a YouTube channel use this - https://www.amazon.com/HOMESTEAD-28-...f_=as_li_ss_tl

The guy that makes them (Phil) is still active on the forums and still selling them. No need to make your own unless you're into that.

You will have to contact him at noloxsolution@gmail.com. Very responsive to my emails when I bought one a couple of years ago.

Ditto Richard. Phil is very responsive, and the step brace is high quality.

I've seen a few folks using a water shut off key (curb key) to brace their step. Seems to work well. I believe the 28" version is the one they use.

Thank you for the information.
I will contact Phil and see if I can get the step brace.
I will also look into the "curb key" suggestion.
Thanks for you help!

We use the 28Ē water meter tool and it works perfectly and fits in the rear bumper storage bin.

Don't reinvent the wheel when it is already done correctly.

I literally just ordered 3 things from him this week and they are waiting at the post office for me.

Phil is a great guy and very responsive, his products really do serve a purpose.

I have NO AFFILIATION with the man, I'm just providing feedback to products that do what they say they are going to do. I get nothing from it. I only even know about him from the YouTube video channels and one couple who showcased his products. Mollysdad is the one who posted the Youtube video on this site and how I found it, you should check it out:

Here is the link he sent to me showing all of his products:

https://issuu.com/541marketing/docs/...DRmMTQxMTU0OTM

Hope this helps.

Chris

The step brace from Phil is an excellent product. Everything he does is first class, Airstream worthy.

I would highly recommend it.

The difference between these two is that the product by Phil is precisely designed to work with our steps, and it looks great. Nice finish, smooth aluminum look, and something fitting for an Airstream. The water key may work, but there is a big difference and I'd recommend the product Phil is selling.

Until I get around to ordering the Phil brace (on the infinite list of upgrade stuff), we use the Camco poor man's solution and it works pretty well stabilizing the bottom step. Edit: Now that I look at it, it appears the Homestead is the superior poor man's (but not AS worthy) solution.

Just ordered the brace and NoLOX from Phil

Sent him an email earlier today - response was quick and the pricing with priority shipping is very reasonable. We leave Saturday morning with our new 30RBQ International with the Dexter Axle Lift installed along with the ProPride I reinstalled from our trade in 28 RBQ International Signature. Going to have a great trip!

Exactly. If it were something I could see, I might be inclined to put the money into the Nolox, but it's under the RV and behind the step. Once it's in-place, It's forgotten about until it's time to put it away. But, I've been called cheap before so YMMV.

I just happen to have a 28" curb key so I tried it and it fit and functioned perfectly on my 2022 23'FC.. $14.95 at Home Depot

Even with the sale price, I paid less ordering directly from Phil.
