If Phil doesn't have any step braces available to ship, you can buy a 28" curb key at Lowes or Home Depot (cheap). Here is a link to a YT video that shows this step brace alternative.

Hello Everyone,
Thanks for all the comments.
We ordered and received the step brace from Phil.
Phil is the best! Very responsive to emails and queries. Price is reasonable even with priority shipping. All the positive comments are very justified. I would not hesitate to buy from him again.

Did you get the clip to hold it to the door during transport?
That is a must have and cheap to have!
Check it out.

Can you post a photo of how that works? You've got me curious.

My 1973 Safari has the same steps the newer models have. Does anyone know if the step brace fits the vintage models? I asked Phil this question and he was not sure.
Thanks
Greg

Thanks Hans... this is exactly it.
One suggestion, get some "end caps" for the rounds of the bar so that if it dislodges (which it never should) the metal ends will not mar any of the interior....
I'll post up this weekend as I am jammed with work.

It uses the inner frame rail as the hold point and the right angle to support the steps... So if you can see the main frame rail, my guess would be that it should work... when I get pics of the ends for mine, I'll take some under shots for you to see if it will match up to yours.

Phil’s products are super!
Just got his step support, and anti-lockout kit. Love them both!
His response time was almost instant.

There isn't an s at the end of noloxsolution. The email address above bounced back. It should be noloxsolution@gmail.com

This was news to me. I'm glad Phil is able to retire and that someone has taken over the business and is still selling the creative products Phil developed.
All the best to Deborah and Kevin.

Just went to their store and the price of the aluminum is $110. The Home Depot solution is $14.95. From what I hear they are functionally equivalent and you really can’t see them behind the stairs. Is there something I’m misssing?

I can't speak to the HD solution but I do have the step brace from Nolox. In addition to the fact that it looks good I like the storage system designed for it as seen in the attached picture. Everything Phil developed was top notch.

I have this also, and exactly what you said, it is well thought out, a perfect match, and works beyond expectation.

Prob this is what is being discussed.
https://www.homedepot.com/p/28-in-So...0111/311774568
I'm not one to throw money away, but you can see the bar from the outside. If you want an unfinished product, the HD solution is what you are looking for, but if you want a more finished look, then the NoLox solution seems like a great bet.
As for the $110, I look at this this way- you have an $80k+ trailer, for $95 more, you get a more finished product that is sold and supported by a member of the community. That HD solution was probobly made in China, cost HD maybe $5 per unit and HD prob makes $10 per unit sold with the proceeds lining large corporation pockets while sending your hard earned money overseas (to some countries with massive labor/human rights issues that might not share our values), while supporting jobs elsewhere.
https://simplywall.st/stocks/us/reta...pot/management
Next season I'll be hitting the website and pickup up the step reinforcement by NoLox, supporting the community and the domestic economy.
