EVA for steps

Thought the warmth and durability of the EVA would work great on the steps. It did! Used a heat gun and putty knife to remove non-skid.

Cut the EVA from a roll (shopped on Amazon), sanded the edges for a nice finish, peel and stick.

EVA is used in boats these days, and I did a boat restoration with it. Love the stuff. Great for bare feet.

That is a great idea. Looks good and very functional.

It would be appreciated if you could you be a little more specific as to the EVA as there are so many options on Amazon?

Something like this works. Search words are: EVA flooring faux teak sea dek. Shipped in a roll, I happen to have grey on-hand for my current boat, but also used the teak color for my boat resto-mod (pix attached) .

I like that it looks factory-upgraded. The stock non-skid is cold, crass and rough on the feet.
