Swiped by a mirror

Hi all,

Last year, someone must have been a little tired, drunk, or lost in thought when they came so close to my AS (parked out front) that they swiped it with a mirror. Apart from the plastic around the trailer that betrayed the explosion of the case, it also left some dark black paint transfer marks on the trailer. Luckily, this is on the street side and the marks are only 3-4" long but I still want to try and remove them, if possible.

I've thought about bar keepers friend, light compound, going to my local auto-body shop and other options but would like to hear from any members who have an idea.

Thanks!

I’d try some light automotive polishing compound followed by automotive wax. A random orbital polisher would be helpful too.

I use Simichrome on light scratches, not through the clear coat.....NO power tools.
I put a tiny dab on a clean cotton cloth and work the spot.
It takes time and the progress is slow, but it's somehow satisfying to see the blemish disappear.

The tiny tube has lasted me years.

Simichrome worked perfectly

Wish I would have taken some before/after pictures. I was pretty concerned as this paint transfer seemed pretty intense but the Simichrome erased it with a little elbow grease.
